While there is no definite diagnostic procedure for Migraine, a family history, your own personal history, symptoms, and physical and neurologic examinations are commonly used. On rare cases, an MRI may be recommended to confirm or rule out other possible causes especially for those with severe symptoms.

How is Migraine Treated?

Traditional treatment for migraine includes pain medication to manage the pain and preventive medication to reduce the severity or frequency of the attack. The problem with pain medications is that it can lead to overuse, dependence, and in the long run, the migraines become unresponsive to the medications.

HOW IS MIGRAINE SURGERY PERFORMED IN THAILAND?

The surgery can be performed as an office procedure under local anesthesia, however general anesthesia can also be used per request.
