Life preservation may be equal to reproduction when it comes to man’s basic instinct. This may be the reason why advancement in medicine had less us to enjoy the cures and preventive treatments that weren’t available during the time of our grandparents, and this may be the way our future generation will be able to enjoy a better quality of life than we do now.
Our era is probably more centered on our cells, particularly autologous cells, the basic biological unit of life, the smallest known (at present) units of life that can survive independently. With the discovery of stem cells, a class of undifferentiated cells that are able to differentiate into specialized cell types, medicine has greatly advanced in the field of anti-aging, regenerative, functional, and cosmetics.
WHAT ARE STEM CELLS?
Stem Cells are cells that have unspecialized or specific affiliation hence they are capable of mimicking other specific cells in the body. Another distinguishable characteristic of stem cells is that under certain physiologic and experimental conditions, they can turn to tissue or organ specific cells that can perform special functions.
Two (2) sources of stem cells are currently being studied, the embryonic stem cells and the adult stem cells. The embryonic stem cells are those that can be derived from 4-5 day old human embryo that is still in the blastocyst phase of development. During the blastocyst phase, an inner and an outer mass is formed, where the outer mass becomes the placenta and the inner mass becomes the fetus. This inner layer is the source of the embryonic stem cell which fascinates most of our researchers because it has the strongest potential to develop into any cell in the body. However, embryonic stem cell cannot be used in humans.
The second source of stem cells is the adult or somatic stem cells which are found inside different types of tissue such as the brain tissues, bone marrow, skin, liver, and others. Usually they remain dormant until an injury triggers them to divide and self-renew enabling them to generate cell types from the original organ or theoretically regenerate the entire new organ.
Another tissue that was found out to carry stem cells is the adipose
tissue and these fat tissues actually have abundant stem cells than we have originally thought of. Now adipose tissue is made of fat cells, stromal supporting cells, and vascular endothelial cells. Since fat is easier to extract and since most of us would like to have our excess fat removed, adipose-derived stem cells is one of the most researched type of stem cell.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF STEM CELL THERAPY?
The use of stem cells had been researched in various fields of medicine such as the following:
Regenerative Medicine - In the field of regenerative medicine, research after research are being conducted to prove the potency of stem cell to repair damaged organs or grow body organs for transplant patients. Stem cell therapy had also been the proposed solution to cure or prevent degenerative diseases for which vaccine is yet to be discovered.
Functional Medicine - In terms of functional medicine, stem cell therapy is used to promote tissue healing basically by its innate property to produce new cells of its kind or cells for other tissues. In Stem Cell Therapy by IV infusion, stem cell is distributed to different organs in the body where it can proliferate and reproduce new cells which are healthier, or at least promote and stimulate the existing cells to function properly and optimally.
Anti-aging and Rejuvenation - With the distinct characteristic of aging as the degeneration of cells, or the slowing down of bodily processes, the use of stem cell as an antidote to slow down the hands of time is no longer a question. Nowadays, more and more doctors are promoting the use of stem cells to bring back the youthful glow of a person as stem cells has been proven to facilitate the production of new cells not only on the skin but on the internal system as well.
Cosmetics - The latest craze in facelift technique is that instead of pulling the skin up, the hollow areas or the areas with deep creases are now filled with stem cell enriched fat to bring back the fullness that is characteristic of youth. Not only on the face, stem cell fat transfer had also been used cosmetically to increase the size of the breast and the buttocks, labia majora, and penis. It had also been seen as an alternative to filler injections for lip, nose bridge, chin, temple, cheek, and forehead augmentations.
WHAT CAN WE OFFER?
At Yoskarn Clinic, we don’t only focus on the cosmetic uses of stem cells, we also make sure our patients get the maximum benefit of the therapy by offering the Adipose Stem Cell IV using the AdiStem system to process Stem Cells from fat tissues or we may use Mesenchymal Stem Cell which is processed by our affiliate GMP certified Stem Cell Laboratory.
Using the AdiStem technique, we are able to extract as many as 2 million stem cells (or vascular or stormal) out of only 1 mL of fat tissue, therefore, in just one treatment, our team can transplant as much as 100-200 millions of stem cells and is considered to be the highest as compared to other techniques. In addition to this, we also stimulate the stem cells with a special laser (Stem Cell Activation) before infusion to get the maximum effect out of them.
We also offer stem cell injection on the ankles, knees, elbows, wrists, and shoulders to repair joint cartilage and tendon that have been injured by physical or degenerative means as part of our functional medicine services. PRP therapy can also be done with Stem Cell therapy for best result.
For anti-aging, we offer the stem cell IV for the stem cells to be distributed all throughout the body to promote repair and regeneration of adult tissue. With the IV stem cell, full systemic rejuvenation is the goal with most patients reporting the feeling of vitality and regained strength after treatment.
And on the cosmetic side, we use stem cells for breast augmentation, butt augmentation, penile enlargement, labia enhancement, and face rejuvenation.
Other health issues or diseases that may have a high potential benefit from stem cells are stroke, diabetes, Parkinson’s disease, spinal cord injury, ischemic heart disease, or myocardial infarction (heart attack), and other degenerative diseases that are still under study.
We also recommend that you stay in Aphrodite Inn, the hotel just beside our center for your convenience. With this, you will be able to enjoy privacy since you can come to our clinic via an adjoining door which means you will not need to step outside of your hotel. Room service is also available anytime so you can fully rest after the procedure. Please note that for adipose-derived stem cell transfer, liposuction will also be involved to harvest the fat so this will be surgical in nature.
Staying in Aphrodite Inn will also mean that you will not need to come to us for follow up anymore as our surgeon and nurses can personally visit you in your room for your follow ups.
Unlike most hospitals, staying at Aphrodite Inn will allow you to have a companion during your stay with their own comfortable bed with their own complimentary breakfast and amenities.
